Few words about the role:
You will leverage your expertise to guide the implementation of DevOps principles, coach and mentor engineers, and establish best practices for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD). You will collaborate closely with software architects, developers, and data scientists to design and develop scalable solutions using Anomaly Detection technology.
Responsibilities:
Leadership and Culture:
- Lead the department's DevOps guild, fostering a culture of collaboration, automation, and continuous improvement.
- Coach and mentor engineers, promoting DevOps best practices and security awareness throughout the SDLC.
- Define and implement departmental DevOps standards, including infrastructure automation and CI/CD pipelines.
Cloud Infrastructure & Services:
- Design, deploy, and manage secure and scalable cloud services on Microsoft Azure (Compute, Storage, Networking).
- Set up, maintain, and optimize Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters for containerized deployments.
- Implement GitOps principles using tools like ArgoCD or Flux to manage infrastructure as code.
DevOps Automation & CI/CD:
- Streamline the software development lifecycle by minimizing release and deployment times.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, build, and deployment processes. (Experience with Bamboo is a plus)
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of DevOps practices.
Technical Expertise:
- Possess strong scripting and programming skills (Python/Java preferred).
- Utilize container technologies (Docker) for building and deploying applications.
- Experience with Kafka for real-time data streaming is a plus.
Must Haves:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps engineering with a proven track record of success.
- Experience in designing, implementing, and securing Kubernetes clusters (experience with Azure Kubernetes Service is a plus).
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, ideally with experience using Terraform and Azure services.
- Experience with GitOps methodologies (ArgoCD or Flux) is a significant advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience with automated testing practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and coaching skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience working in collaborative team environments.
